PMI requires two things: (1) project management education — 35 hours of formal training, which our course fulfills; and (2) project leadership experience — 36 months if you hold a 4-year degree, or 60 months if you hold a high school diploma or secondary school credential. All experience must be from leading and directing projects, not just participating in them.

PMI updated the PMP exam effective July 9, 2026. Key changes: (1) Updated domain weightings — People (33%), Process (41%), Business Environment (26%). The Business Environment domain tripled from 8%, reflecting the growing importance of strategic alignment and governance. (2) Approach split — 60% agile/hybrid, 40% predictive (up from 50/50 in the 2021 version). (3) New content areas — AI in project management and sustainability, newly incorporated from the 2026 Job Task Analysis. (4) Exam format — 180 questions, 240 minutes, with 170 scored and 10 unscored pretest items. Our curriculum is built specifically around the July 2026 ECO.

All sessions are delivered live by a PMI Authorized instructor — not pre-recorded content. You attend in real time, ask questions during class, and work through exam scenarios with instructor guidance. Sessions are also recorded so enrolled students can rewatch any class at any time through the LMS.

PMI charges an exam fee separately from training: PMI members pay $405 USD and non-members pay $555 USD. Our 35-hour training course fee ($390) covers exam preparation only — it does not include the PMI exam fee. Becoming a PMI member at $139/year reduces your total cost significantly if you are a non-member.

Most working professionals complete the 35-hour live training and then spend 6–10 weeks on independent revision, domain-wise practice questions, and full-length mock exams before sitting the exam. Your timeline depends on your existing project management experience, familiarity with agile and hybrid methods, and available study hours per week.
